Near Base Rentals (the operator of this site) wants everyone to be able to use nearbaserentals.com and community.nearbaserentals.com, including people who use assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We work to keep the site accessible as we add new features.

What we've done

• Automated testing with axe-core and Lighthouse on every page type.
• Keyboard testing, so the site can be used without a mouse.
• Labels and page landmarks that work with screen readers.
• Color contrast checks on text, buttons and badges.
• Testing at 200% zoom and at a 320-pixel-wide screen, so content reflows without sideways scrolling.
• Support for reduced motion when your device asks for it.

Known limitations

• Other websites. Property websites and other third-party sites we link to are not controlled by us and may not be accessible.
• Map links. Map and directions links open other apps or websites, which have their own accessibility features.
• Department of Defense data. BAH data and PDFs from the Department of Defense are linked as they are published, and we can't change their format.

Automated tools don't catch every problem, so we also rely on your reports.

Report a barrier

If something on the site is hard to use, please tell us. Email leads@nearbaserentals.com with the subject "Accessibility" and include:

• the page (a link or its name);
• what you were trying to do; and
• the assistive technology you use, if any, such as a screen reader, magnifier or voice control, plus your browser and device.

We will respond within 5 business days. While we work on a fix, we will help you get the information or complete the task another way, such as by email or in another format.
