Fair housing

Near Base Rentals is built for military renters, and every listing is open to everyone. We follow the federal Fair Housing Act and state fair-housing laws.

• Landlords may market their rentals to military renters and offer military-friendly terms like a military clause or reduced deposit.
• Landlords may not refuse to rent, set different terms, or discourage anyone because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), familial status, disability, or any other characteristic protected where the property is located. Some states, including Virginia, also protect military status and source of funds.
• We remove listings that discriminate.
